The Maintenance Manager ensures that the company facilities and machine tools and equipment are maintained in good operating conditions. He reports to the Operations Manager.

Essential Responsibilities And Duties

 

 

  • Manage and coach and develop a high maintenance team that delivers best practice results and improves continually.
  • Manage the process of introduction of new machine into the plant, commissioning and managing PM for those machines.
  • Manage the technicians performing maintenance services. Assist in trouble shooting problems with equipment.
  • Manage contractors on site to ensure company policies and procedure are adhered.
  • Administer the compliance of all the team members on company polies and procedures.
  • Implementing and executing a Preventive Maintenance Program.
  • Ability to do cost justification to replace aging and process incapable machines or retrofit them.
  • Arranges with outside vendors for periodic servicing contracts.
  • Develop annual operating plans and manage maintenance budgets.
  • Tracks work orders, tools and PM schedules as per specifications.
  • Develop project plans, Coordinate projects, communicates changes and progress and manages project team activities.
  • Must have strong ethics and safe working attitude.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications And Experience

 

  • Preferred mechanical or electrical engineering degree or equivalent.
  • 10+ years’ experience in drilling maintenance management role.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications and schematics.
  • Effective interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in Nigeria
